The table combines manufacturers' data and measurements from Bobcat's comparison tests (06-2021).
This comparison dates from 06-2021. A newer version of either machine may be on sale now, with different figures.
Machines with up to 5 cm of rear overhang count as zero tail swing: with the standard counterweight both are zero-tail machines, with the optional counterweight both become minimal-tail machines. The ViO57-6B replaced the ViO57-6; the change was the engine, from Stage IIIa to Stage V.
— means the manufacturer does not publish this figure.
Driving 1 km while backfilling and levelling at first speed takes about 21 minutes with the E55z and 27 minutes with the ViO57-6B.
Calculation: 60 ÷ 2.9 km/h = 20.7 min; 60 ÷ 2.2 km/h = 27.3 min
80 dB(A) over an 8-hour day is the EU lower exposure action value: from that level the employer must offer hearing protection (Directive 2003/10/EC). The E55z cab measured 75 dB(A), the ViO57-6B 80 dB(A).
With the standard arm the E55z curls in with 31.0 kN of arm force, the ViO57-6B with 24.4 kN.
Calculation: 31.0 ÷ 24.4 = 1.27
Measurements and notes come from Bobcat's comparison tests (06-2021), in which both machines did the same jobs. These figures are not in the manufacturers' brochures. “Operator's opinion” is the personal impression of the operator who worked in the test: it is subjective, and your experience may differ.

Operator's opinionsubjectiveThe controls stayed precise at full power.
Operator's opinionsubjectiveOn the France-built machines the joysticks needed more effort, and levelling left waves in the surface.
